Import a programme
If your programme is already in a spreadsheet, import it instead of typing it in. CueDuck reads a CSV file, or the template saved as Excel (.xlsx), and shows you every row before anything is added.
What you need
- Your programme, one item per row
- A CSV file or an Excel workbook (.xlsx), up to 5 MB
Steps
- Open your event and choose Schedule, then Import a programme.
- Choose Download the template (CSV) and open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
- Put one item on each row. Only Date, Start and Title are needed. Write dates like 12 Nov 2026 and times in 24-hour, like 14:00. For several rooms or topics in one cell, put ; between them.
- Leave the example rows in or delete them: they’re recognised and left out.
- Save the file as CSV or as Excel Workbook (.xlsx), and upload it.
- Check the preview on the timetable. A row that can’t be added as it stands asks for a decision in the panel: add its time, move its date, or leave it out. Each row is named by its title, with its row number in the file under it.
- Choose Add, for example Add 30 items. Nothing is added before that.
Type
Type is Session, For everyone (a break or a meal for the whole event) or Alongside (registration, an exhibition). Leave it blank for a session.
Speakers
Speakers are not in this file. Add them on the Speakers page, then choose them in each session under Who’s speaking.
A file from another system
If the file isn’t the template, CueDuck asks which column holds the title, the date and the start. Exports from Sched, Eventbrite and Whova are recognised.
Importing a newer version
Upload the file again and CueDuck shows what changed since the last import. You choose which changes to apply. Speakers you’ve added to sessions are kept.
Older Excel files
A file ending in .xls can’t be imported. In Excel, save it as Excel Workbook (.xlsx) or CSV, then upload that.
